Rail Collaboration: “CN Engineering Challenges”

David Ferryman, Vice President System Engineering for Canadian National Railway visited Michigan Tech on Tuesday, April 2nd, and led a discussion concentrating on “CN Engineering Challenges”. CN is one of the greatest supporters of Michigan Tech’s Rail Transportation Program and Mr. Ferryman visited Michigan Tech to review the facilities and to discuss future collaboration and activities with students and faculty.

Information and Application

Join us on the two campuses this summer for a weeklong exploration into rail and intermodal transportation. Classes are held at both Michigan Tech and the University of Wisconsin-Superior with site visits to rail yards, museums and ports in Michigan and Minnesota.

This is a full scholarship program.

Michigan Tech Tapped for National Rail Research, Education Center
Michigan Technological University’s Rail Transportation Program is one of seven members of a research university consortium that has received the US Department of Transportation’s (USDOT) first multi-million grant to a University Transportation Center focused solely on rail transportation.
